NTA Takes Over Responsibility of JEE Main, NEET; Students Free to Choose Dates
NTA Takes Over Responsibility of JEE Main, NEET; Students Free to Choose Dates Home career NTA Takes Over Responsibility of JEE Main, NEET; Students Free to Choose...careerNTA Takes Over Responsibility of JEE Main, NEET; Students Free to Choose DatesBy Amit Kumar - July 26, 201812420Facebook Tumblr Mix VK LINE Viber Image source engineering.aglasem.comNational Testing Agency, the newly formed entrance examinations conducting authority has taken over the charge of coordinating and conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) tests starting 2019. Both these exams will be conducted twice every year in two different sessions. Each of the two sessions of JEE Main 2019 and NEET exams every year will be conducted in around 4-5 days. The aspirants will be able to specify their choice of dates during the registration process. When earlier, the NEET exam was conducted only once every year, NTA would be providing the medical aspirants with a wider range of 4-5 days for selecting a date of their choice. The Honorable Education Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar, had made these official announcements in a press conference held at New Delhi on July 07, 2018. The JEE Main and NEET exams were earlier conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) only once every year for the engineering and aspirants respectively, who like to get admissions to the reputed colleges across the country offering the related courses. The transition of this vital responsibility from CBSE to NTA would surely bring multiple benefits to CBSE and the students as well. CBSE was earlier required to spend considerable effort in conducting these premium entrances, since each of those were attempted by lakhs of candidates. The handover of the same to NTA would let CBSE focus completely on its core responsibly, which includes conduction of CBSE board examinations and management of NCERT syllabus. The aspired students of the JEE Main and NEET exams are also overwhelmed with this decision. The reason being, they wil l now be provided with two chances of bringing out their best performance. Candidates could now attempt either one or both the exams conducted in a year. Their one of the best scores of both of their attempts would be used in the counseling process for the allocation of the college of their choice. In case some aspirants, due to any reason, would miss attempting the first session of the JEE Main or the NEET exam on the due date, they will have another chance in the second round for proving their excellence. Their score in the second round will also hold the same weightage for the admission counseling. With another major change, NTA would conduct all two sessions of both the JEE Main and NEET exams in the online or computer-based mode starting 2019. When the candidates were given a choice to attend the JEE Main 2018 exam in either online or offline mode, the NEET exam had always been conducted only in the offline mode.Considering the criticality of these exams, NTA would bring more tra nsparency, robustness and error-free methodology through the introduction of online mode. In addition to the JEE Main and NEET exams, NTA would also be responsible for organizing the National Eligibility Test (NET), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) entrances going ahead.Tentative Schedule of Upcoming Examinations to be Conducted by NTAThe first exam to be conducted by NTA will be UGC-NET 2018, which will be scheduled in December 2018. Why Allowing Employees to Work Remotely Facilitates Growth
Why Allowing Employees to Work Remotely Facilitates Growth .Technology offers the benefit of allowing your employees to work remotely, either on a regular basis or whenever the need arises. But did you know that working remotely can actually make your employees happier and more productive? To remain competitive, your company must stay ahead of the curve. Giving employees options for working remotely can be one of the crucial factors to growing your business. Here are some of the benefits companies need to consider. Attract Better Employees The best employees arenât begging for jobsâ"theyâre considering the various companies begging them to work for them. Access to the latest technology is one of the factors theyâre going to consider, and in todayâs world theyâre going to be looking for the option of working remotely. Whether they want to do so full-time, part-time or only occasionally, itâs essential that the option is there for them. In fact, 72 percent of employees say flexibility in work arrangements would make them choose one job over another. Good companies need all the bargaining chips they can get to attract great employees. Workers Have Better Flexibility When workers can only access their files in the office, their options are often limited. In many industries, employees need to be out in the field: for example, imagine a realtor who could only access listings when theyâre in the office. They take a client out, find a home thatâs not quite what theyâre looking for, and remember another one that would be a better fit. Do you think those clients are going to take a field trip back to the realtorâs office just to find out more about the property? Probably notâ"theyâre probably going to find a realtor who can give them the instant access they need to relevant documents and listings. Improve Customer Service Across the Board Giving your employees remote access to essential files is a win-win for your clients or customers. They donât want to wait for the answers they need, and they donât want to fear that theyâre working with a company that doesnât take their needs seriously. The more easily your employees can access relevant documentsâ"from anywhereâ"the quicker they can get back to their clients. And that will reflect positively on your company. Not Everyone Works at the Same Paceâ"Or the Same Way In a typical office environment, everyone gets to the office at the same time. Thats generally around 8 a.m.â"and everyone leaves around the same timeâ"typically 5 p.m. Do you think that every employee in an office like that is a morning person? Do you think every one of them works best 8 hours in a row, as opposed to working a 14-hour day but taking a lot of breaks? Science shows us that different people thrive in different working environments. Some do like the consistency of a schedule, and some prefer to get to work early, do what they need to do, and go home. Others thrive in a more flexible environment. When you employ a mobile workforce, you can call the shots and insist employees work specific hours, but if your particular type of business can allow it, you may be able to let workers set their own hoursâ"which can result in getting the absolute best out of them. Donât Underestimate Employee Satisfaction Any successful company knows theyâre only as strong as their human capital. Satellite access that allows employees to work from home, even part-time, can greatly increase their satisfaction with their job. The more satisfied an employee is with their job, the harder theyâre going to work. And the more loyal they will be to your company. Traditional office employees experience twice the amount of stress as those who have more flexible work options, so itâs not surprising that the employee turnover rate is also twice as high for workers who donât have flexibility to work from home. Turnover is expensive, time-consuming, and ineffective. As a result, anything a company can do to retain their top talent is an investment well made. Lower Your Overhead Costs Having employees who work from home allows organizations to lower overhead costs in several areas, including: Office space Office furniture Phones Computers Utilities Technology Even having employees work part-time can see a reduction in these costs. For example, 2 employees who work on-site part-time and off-site part-time can use the same shared work space. Reduce Your Companyâs Carbon Footprint The public perception of your company is important. Enterprise access allows employees to reduce the amount of fuel they useâ"which reduces their carbon footprint and the carbon footprint your company is responsible for. More and more often states are offering companies significant tax benefits and credits when they take steps like these to lower their carbon footprints. Watch Your Employeeâs Sick Days Drop 72 percent of employees are not engaged in their work, essentially âsleep walkingâ through their day. Low engagement leads to higher turnover, more missed work days, and lower productivity. There are plenty of days when an employee is well enough to work but calls in sick because they donât want to infect the entire office. They may prefer to work through a minor cold, but itâs often not an option when they must be on-site. In fact, research has shown that employees who work from home call in sick less frequently than those who work in a physical office. Remote Working = Better Long Term Results If you want happier, more productive employees who are going to be with your company for years to come, then you need to be able to offer them flexibility in their work arrangements. Using document management software makes that a possibility. This guest post was authored by Jesse Wood Jesse Wood is the CEO of document management software vendor, eFileCabinet. Become Your Own Boss in 2017 - Classy Career Girl
Become Your Own Boss in 2017 Considering becoming your own boss in 2017? You can make as much or more as your income right now and you can build it up so that when you do make the leap, you arenât stressed wondering how you will pay your bills. You can make more money building your own business and be in charge of your own raises. You can start building your own goals instead of working on someone elseâs goals every day when you go to your day job. You donât have to wait for your bossâs approval to make a change. You donât need a ton of money to get started and you have these two trends of global impact and freedom opening up the opportunities for you. Now Iâm sure youâll agree, trying to start a successful business that matches your purpose and makes a difference, isnât always as simple as people sometimes make it seem. Hereâs the thing. Entrepreneurship is HARD, right? Becoming your own boss is not easy. And itâs so easy to get distracted by the pretty photos on Facebook where it looks like entrepreneurs fly to Paris last minute, drink champagne in Italy and live a luxurious laptop lifestyle from the beach. They make it look so easy so why is it so hard for us! [RELATED: Dont Start a Business Without Answering These 7 Questions] I am often hustling in my bedroom in a messy house with my daughter running around and dishes piled in the sink. So, I decided to create a movement around the REAL experiences of starting a business. The truth is, entrepreneurship comes with a lot of challenges. The Doubts and Fears of Becoming Your Own Boss You probably have heard that if you go the entrepreneur route you will you never find benefits or live without the security of a paycheck and how the heck will you have enough money to support your family. I get it, my husband and I quit our jobs within three months of each other and we had a 6-month-old daughter. We had to make the leap and figure all this stuff out too. And then, of course, the fears of what will people think! Some family members were not in support of both of us quitting our jobs. They said, How can you do this. What if the internet breaks! One of my regrets is that I didnât have a solid business plan that I could show him when I quit. I mean it was in my head and I knew I was going to succeed, but a business plan to show him would have been helpful which is what Iâll teach you in this video series. Maybe youâre just thinking about becoming your own boss or maybe youâre already a business owner but you want to increase your profits or utilize more online marketing tools to expand your reach and income. Either way, youâre in the right place because after The Freedom Workshop (we start December 29th! Sign up here.) youâll know if you have a profitable business idea or not and what steps to take next. Plus, later on in the Freedom Workshop training series, I am going to walk you through the things you need to know to build a successful business with limited time. And do it in a way that doesnât create overwhelm and stress you out. And, most importantly, it gives you the lifestyle you want. Regardless of if you are just starting out or you already have a business but it just isnât getting the growth that you want it to have and you know you need a change. This training series will set you up for tremendous success. Iâm going to demystify the process of starting a business which is going to save you a lot of time, a lot of money and a lot of frustration. What I Noticed About Women Who Wanted To Become Entrepreneurs I developed this framework for building a business on the side of your day job because I saw so many women who wanted to be their own boss, work from home and turn their passion into a paycheck. They had so much talent and skill and I knew they could help millions of women with their businesses, I could envision it, but they were getting completely sidetracked and scared so they just did nothing and stayed in their jobs. For example, I saw women who wanted to start a business who were treating it more like a fun hobby, they were trying to grow their social media accounts and get a bunch of followers online before they knew who their ideal clients were, what those clients actually wanted and what they were even going to sell. Not only that but they didnât know what business they should even start. The worst part was that they didnât believe in themselves and their business idea and were scared to put themselves out there. They got a few clients here and there but nothing that could ever support them full-time. Then I saw women who already had businesses trying to get more steady streams of cash on a monthly basis struggling because they didnât have a profitable business model in place and they were scared to make a change even though their business didnt fit their passions and desires anymore. And not only that itâs stressful when you run a business that sucks up all your time. These women started a business to have more time with their families but now had to run the business so they had little time with their families. I could go on, but I knew that people needed clarity because in full transparency, that was my story too. Ready to become your own boss in 2017? Top 10 Reasons to Quit Your Soul Sucking Job
Top 10 Reasons to Quit Your Soul Sucking Job Its Monday morning and youve just woken up. Youd love to bite on some tasty pancakes, but unfortunately your stomach is in a knot from all the stress you feel just thinking about going to work. As youre driving, your mind fills with all of the crap you have to deal with this week. You start to wonder, how many more times can you put up with your managers verbal abuse? Or when will you reach the breaking point with stupid customers? Maybe you took this job because, at the time, that was all you needed. Some way to pay the bills. But now, youve had enough. You deserve better. Theres something out there, waiting for you. Then around the same time youre thinking this, the little devil on your left shoulder starts whispering in your ear You cant quit, all jobs are like this. How do you know the next one wont be more of the same thing? So you bow your headsigh, and let life continue on. And before long, another year has passed and you realize once again, youre at the same job, with the same position, and the same grumpy manager. Well, today is the day you fight back. No more excuses for letting life pass you by. If any number of the reasons below ring a bell in your head saying, Yep, thats me, then maybe its time to reconsider working there. 10. You Have No Work Life Balance Instead of coming home to enjoy being with your family and having some personal time, youre tied to a cell phone that pings every time you get an email from work. Little 10 year old Tim needs help with his homework, but that presentation you have to finish wont take care of itself either. If you ignore your work, youre boss will most likely chide you and threaten your job. If you ignore Billy, your wife might pick up the slack. (Which can cause other problemswell discuss later). The days just seem to run together and its only a matter of time before you burn out and become an unproductive, depressed, little work horse. Most of the time, this issue really is caused by your own habits, but if you notice Bob in accounting, Kathy in sales, and just about everyone else you work with is under this same kind of pressure, then lack of work life balance is probably part of the company culture. Sometimes it comes with the job, but if having no work life balance is tearing you down, then you might start looking for work elsewhere. 9. Your Work Is No Longer a Challenge Youve mastered your work tasks and now they feel more like a chore than a challenge. When you look at the clock, its as if time is going backward. Work used to be fun, but now its old. So, is lack of challenge a worthy enough reason to quit your job? Quite possibly. Motivation research has found Mastery to be one of the key motivators for work. So if youre in that position where you dont really see how you can grow much further working here, its time to move on. 8. You Arent Valued For What You Do How many times have you given your all to a job, and never been rewarded in return? Youve worked at the company for 5 years and make a little more than you did when you started. Or you constantly are passed up for promotions or transfers to a better job in the same company. To the business, you are just a cog that can be replaced. And it shows by how they treat you. 7. Your Coworkers Drain You Who you work with is important. Often, theyll be more of a family to you then your own flesh and blood. Are you surrounded by sharks, looking to take advantage of any mistakes you might make? Or is your office so full of gossip you wonder if you stepped back into high school? Theres hope for you if you have maybe one or two of these sour apples, but if your work just seems to attract this kind of an environment, look out! 6. Your Values Are at Odds With the Company Culture Did you know that one-third of workers say their employers core values are not always consistent with their own? Shocking? Probably not. Maybe youve felt this way? It could be working on Sundays when you would rather spend that time at church or with family. Or your manager might encourage you to stretch the truth, when talking to customers. Whatever it is, having to work outside your values is stressful. Which leads to reason number five. 5. Your Job Stresses You Out Lots of things lead to stress. Lack of sleep, bad relationships, a cruddy economy. But jobs dont have to be this way. Sure theres going to be times when even the perfect job will stress you out, but it should never be a constant force. Long periods of stress are linked to hundreds of negative side effects. Youre only kidding yourself if you think you can put up with that kind of pressure without experiencing some kind of consequence. 4. You Fear The Change of Job Switching Several people KNOW their job is not right for them, but stick it out anyways. And if you asked them why (if they were honest), Id bet theyd tell you they wont change because theyre afraid. At least you know the BAD stuff that happens where you work. What if the next job has more of the same or is even worse? Maybe youre afraid you CANT get another job. That the job skills you posses have locked you in a career you cant escape from. Ive been in sales for 10 years, if I want to do something else Ill have to start all over. Fear is your enemy. Even if it does require starting over, its worth it. Sure the first year or so will probably stink as you get your feet dirty at the bottom of a new career path. But once youve demonstrated some results, that show you know your stuff, you can move up quicker than you might think. Plus some companies prefer to hire people with diverse experience backgrounds*cough*Google*cough* 3. Your Boss Is A $@#*#()@ I left this one for you to fill in, but in case you are drawing a blank heres a link of some classic insulting names. The point is you have problems with your boss or they have problems with you. This is never good. Your boss NEEDS to be your strongest ally. When the CEO upstairs says, Im sorry but we need to cut staff, they are going to go to your boss to hear who they would cut? Even if you were towing the line, you could have a stronger chance of staying over a person who had some All-star moments, but constantly butted heads with their manager. So if youre past the point of mending things back together, its probably safe to start looking elsewhere. 2. Your Family Is Paying The Price For Your Job Are you so worn out by the beating your job gives you that it affects your home life? Do you feel so drained that youre not much help around the house once you are home? Or do you often hear those close to you saying, All you care about is your job? Ouch! That hurts. Of course, we are assuming this is caused by the job and not by your personal choice to put family as a second priority. If thats the case, no job is worth that kind of sacrifice. Im sure you dont need me to tell you. 1. You Understand No Job Is Stable Anymore For some, you are the first generation to enter the job force where working for Company X all the way to retirement is a thing of the past. While youve grown the last 20 years, gigantic fiber optics have been laid across the ocean connecting the world in a way that didnt exist a generation ago. All of a sudden, information and work could be transmitted across the globe in less than a second. So now, in regards to that job you want, you arent just competing with Rick and Mary who also live in Arizona, youre competing with Naveen from India. And guess what? Naveen didnt think school sucked or was lame. No, Naveen didnt take it for granted like many of us did here in the states. You probably woke up to that realization quickly once you were in college and saw that all of these students who had Visas were pretty dang serious about getting As in Economics, Engineering, Quantum Physics, and Microbiology. Companies have woken up, and as much as they preach about keeping jobs in the U.S., whats stopping them from hiring Naveen if hes just as qualified or more, even if he does live in India? But competing with a bigger talent pool isnt the only stability Im talking about. It used to be you could work for a big company like IBM and theyd invest $10,000s into your professional development. They did this because employees were loyal and would stay around for dozens of years, in which time the big company would get a nice return on their investment. Its rare to see that today. Employees come and go much more often. Just as employees are competing with each other, businesses are competing for talent. Which is good for those of us who have sought after skills. That means if Company A isnt treating you right, Company B is LOOKING for you. So in summary, if you think you can stick it out with a soul sucking job forever, dont be so sure. Its far SAFER to take your CHANCES finding another place to work. And even if that new place isnt quite perfect just yet, whos to stop you from moving again in a year or two? What Are Your Reasons For Leaving a Soul Sucking Job? I wanted to know what you guys thought were the best reasons for leaving a soul sucking job. Heres what you said. My reason I left was because it never left me. I tried my hardest to go home to my family and be away from my jobbut it stuck with me. It made me unhappy in my personal life way too much. Its amazing what a great job will do for you in so many facets of your life. I love my job now, and it shows (according to my wife). Patrick L. My boss was verbally abusive and I was working constantly. He didnt respect any of his employees and I realized that it wasnt a good fit for me in any way. Despite the toxic environment, it was still hard to make the decision to leave without knowing what was next. I realized that life is short and it isnt worth it to spend time in a miserable job. Lindsay H. You give up a part of your dignity/humanity to preserve the sales, reputation, or image of your company (ie to make the shareholders or already rich bosses richer), and there is usually very little reward for yourself other than keeping your job.
